As a notary public, it is probably constantly on your mind, for your entire job centers around stopping it! Since, you are careful and secure with other people’s information by ensuring they have proper identification, securing your record book and not letting other’s view it, securing your stamp and embosser, NPU only wants to extend you the same courtesy. We have as many protections in place as possible to ensure your information stays only yours. Your social security number is required for processing by the state. If you do not feel comfortable entering it online, we have paper applications available for you.  Our online system has the highest protections in place to guard your social security number. It is not stored in our system, not on your profile, the customer information we see, nor on our server. After it is initially processed, we wipe clean your social security number and drivers license. NPU does NOT at share or sell your personal information with third parties for solicitation purposes. We only have a third party credit card processor who only receives information necessary to accept payment online.  Some state departments do share your name and address with other notary bonding agencies, so we cannot stop renewal solicitations from getting out of hand. However, if you renew through our website, we will send you a renewal email reminder so you won’t even have to worry about any notary solicitations in your mailbox.
